Week 36

Wow! What a busy and exciting week! Here are some highlights...

On Monday we had our final yoga celebration and mindful feast! Each student had a place in the circle where they shared food provided by our incredible yoga teachers, Ms. Lynea & Ms. Tai. It was the perfect way to celebrate our weekly yoga :)

Our mealworms are growing! The entomologists are excited to watch the metamorphosis of their mealworm larvae!

We had our final session with our Artist in Residency. The students were both scientists and artists as Karie showed the science behind clay and the first graders got to glaze their clay projects!

The first grade artists also completed some amazing bird masks with Mr.Shuhe. They created their beaks using a clay mold that they formed and doing paper mache over the mold. From there they used foam and feathers to create the head piece of the mask.

A HUGE thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped make the Artist in Residencies so successful - we couldn't have done it without you!

The first graders received their Jr. Achievement diplomas this week, the first of many to come!

We ended the week with our Stephenson Talent Show - what a fun way to end the week!
